Celebrating the wonders of the Niagara Escarpment
Bruce Trail Day is an annual celebration of the Bruce Trail and the wonders of the Niagara Escarpment, hosted by the Bruce Trail Conservancy at each of its Bruce Trail Clubs.
Join us for FREE guided hikes and family activities to help you explore the Bruce Trail and discover the amazing variety of life along the Niagara Escarpment. Come and learn about our year-round hiking programs, volunteer opportunities, and what we are doing to preserve a ribbon of wilderness in southern Ontario from Niagara to Tobermory.
Everyone is welcome! We invite nature lovers, hikers of all levels, and anyone wanting to venture onto the Bruce Trail for the first time, or the hundredth time, to join us.

Explore the beauty of the Peninsula with our expert hike leaders. Please review the details and register for your preferred hike.
Flora and Fauna along the Escarpment Edge
This hike will follow the Main trail along the cliff edge to experience some spectacular views of Barrow Bay then backtrack to the parking lot via the John Appleton Side Trail. This will be a stop, look and listen hike where we take breaks to look at wildflowers and any fauna we come across.

Lookouts, Limestone, and the Lion’s Head
Join us for a memorable hike through Lion’s Head Provincial Park to the iconic Lion’s Head Lookout… Expect uneven, rocky terrain, exposed cliffside sections, and plenty of opportunities to pause for photos. Sturdy footwear, water, and appropriate layers strongly recommended.

At the Edge: Boundary Bluffs Experience
Explore the boundaries of both the Sydney Bay Bluff and the territory of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation… The edges and boundaries offer us insights into unique environments and resilient adaptations, along with important reflections on political histories.

Deepening Our Connections: Jones Bluff
Join us for an immersive interpretive hike through the beautiful Jones Bluff area in Neyaashiinigmiing. This walk invites participants to explore the land through the lenses of Indigenous knowledge—intertwining natural history, personal story, and community connection.
